The Different Types Of Liposuction To Suit You

For many, liposuction in all its forms is a way of getting rid of stubborn fat, however, due to the vast amount of options that are now readily available, identifying the type of liposuction that is best for you and your body requires more than just a little research. Here, we’re taking a closer look at the different types of liposuction

Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction is one of the most popular that is on the market right now due to its non-invasive nature and limited downtime. This procedure is conducted by using anaesthetic that is injected into a layer of fat, causing it to swell. In turn, this allows the surgeon to remove the fat deposits with minimal pain and discomfort. In addition to this, tumescent liposuction is generally preferred over traditional liposuction treatments as it causes less damage to the surrounding tissue and dramatically reducing the amount of swelling and bruising that can occur during the recovery process.

Liposoft

Liposoft or water assisted liposuction is beneficial to those who are looking for an effective liposuction solution without significant downtime. This treatment consists of a non-toxic water solution to break down the deposits of fat and remove them without any need for abrasion. Although this can cause bloating, this solution is far more efficient. Additionally, due to the nature of the fat deposit when it is removed, the cut that is made within the surface of the skin can be significantly smaller, reducing scarring and enabling you to return to your daily routine in a matter of days.

Vaser Liposuction

Similar to Liposoft, this technique involves breaking down the fat deposits before they are removed allowing for a less invasive process. Unlike the above process that uses water, Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound technology to break down the fat deposits whilst also firming up the skin to reduce the amount of excess loose skin that is left behind. However, this is subject to the way that your body reacts to the procedure and can depend on the amount of swelling and bruising that occurs.

Power-assisted Liposuction

Unlike traditional liposuction, power assisted liposuction reduces the need for abrasive moments within the body from the practitioner to break up the fat. Due to the vibration of the tool that is placed within the body, this breaks up the targeted layer of fat and allows for easy removal. This reduces that damage that is done to the rest of the tissue surrounding the treated area and subsequently reduces the recovery time of the patient. Although this can feel uncomfortable during the process and there is the potential for swelling and bruising shortly afterwards it is still an effective treatment for those looking for a quick procedure.

Although there are many different types of liposuction on the market they are all there to serve the same purpose by removing excess fat. However, it is important to do your research on each of the process and decide which is the right one for you based on your specific needs as this will not only help you ensure that you are receiving the very best quality treatment, but it will also ensure that you have a memorable experience.
